I didn't find the scent offensive, it's definitely earthy, as it should be with ginger being a key player here. I didn't feel that it made a huge difference in my routine. I had no harsh reaction to it, and feel it did its job. I've bumped it up to five stars for having quite beautiful packaging. If you're into earthy neutrals and just want a simple toner that works and feels quite 'natural' then I believe you would like this product.

Did not work for me at all
I don't know how but this stings my skin and gives me bumps. I read that some people are sensitive to Theobroma Cacao so it's probably that. Huge fail for me.
